To all who knew her, Berthe Lamour was a gifted star. This 46-year-old Haitian single mom, lovingly known as “Beth”, could always put a smile on your face and laughter in your heart. A passionate believer in Jesus Christ, Beth raised her two children, Liana (19) and Masai (8), to always keep Jesus close. 

As a gifted vocalist, she loved to sing in her church choir and even though she was the person who brought others joy, she suffered in pain and silence. Migraine headaches plagued Beth every day until a recent visit to the doctor revealed a large pituitary tumor. Beth was facing what would be the biggest fight of her life.

While apprehensive, she bravely reported for surgery in the hopes that she’d return home to her little boy in a little under a week. Unfortunately, while in the hospital Beth became infected with bacterial meningitis and other complications piled on. She slipped into a deep coma and on Thursday August 12th, went home to be with the Lord, leaving behind the little boy who loves and misses her terribly.

Masai, her youngest child continues to cry for his mom. Only time will be able to heal his broken heart. This sudden and tragic death comes as a shock to our family.
