My name is Rhia Balon, an Immigration Consultant(RCIC) from Calgary, Alberta. I am fundraising in behalf of my former client(Rowel Amado) and his bereaved wife(Emma) and children, Emmanuel(17) and Cassy(10).
It is with great sadness that Rowel has passed away yesterday due to leukemia that he fought for over one year leaving behind his wife and two children. Unfortunately, Rowel has no life insurance.
Rowel first came to Canada in November 2013. He became my client in April 2016. From the the time that I’ve known him, he has shown good character. A responsible father and husband who work hard for his family. One time I asked him why he is not taking a vacation to visithis family in the Philippines. He said he wanted to save up and wait for their permanent residency so that he has them with him when he comes back to Canada for good.
In July 2019 we received approval of their residency application. He was so happy that finally he is going home to get his family.
In September 2019, the whole family came to Canada as permanent residents.
In October 2019, just one month after they arrived, he was diagnosed with leukemia. He was full of hope going through chemotherapy believing he will get better to be with his family. He fought bravely until his very last breath.
In the last year since has been diagnosed, he continued on with his role as the head of the family. In between his sessions at the hospital, he was driving and able to bring his family out for picnics or camping. Perhaps to create memories with them, to make up for their lost years being apart despite his medical condition.
He will always be remembered as a loyal friend, responsible son and father, loving husband and compassionate human being.
