Funeral & Family Needs for Peter Berberena

On behalf of the Berberena Family:

It is with great sadness that we must announce the passing of our dear friend Peter Berberena, as he was called home on Tuesday, April 25th. Peter was diagnosed with colon cancer in 2019. After a courageous fight, the disease went into remission in 2020. A year later, still weary from the previous battle, he was diagnosed with liver cancer in 2021. His strength and bravery was demonstrated not only by his perseverance to endure and persist through the procedures and chemo treatments meant to extend his life, but by his resolve to remain positive, charismatic, and unwavering in his faith. He continued to glorify God even up until his last days.

Even in the weakest moments of his fight, Peter was a light of inspiration to everyone around him. He was an incredibly selfless person. If you spoke to him and he sensed that you might be going through struggles in life, he wouldn’t hesitate to offer compassion, encouragement, advice, and prayer. Not only a dedicated husband and father, he touched the lives of countless numbers of friends, neighbors, and family. We are all devastated by his loss and would like to support his two young children and wife of 16 years with any expenses and arrangements that need to be made.
