A Final Good-Bye to Our Young & Beloved Father

We are devastated to share the news that our father will not be returning home from his short vacation.

My father-in-law was on vacation in Laos to accompany his oldest son and his wife to go back and visit her family for the first time in 13 years, since coming to America. However, my father-in-law, Thomas Ntsuab Toog, suddenly passed away on March 11, 2023, during a thank-you ceremony for them. He was found unconscious and had to be driven to the nearest hospital which was 30 minutes away. By the time they arrived, he was declared dead. He had a stroke and unfortunately did not make it.

We are so heartbroken to know we will no longer be able to enjoy precious time with him anymore. He was only 57 years old and left behind 5 daughters, 7 sons, 1 brother, 1 sister, a widow, and 9 grandchildren. Most of his children are still young and unmarried. We are saddened that he will not be here to be a part of their marriages. There are no words to express the feeling our family is going through. The only thing left we will have are all the memories we have of him. He was a great husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and father-in-law that valued family. Those who know my father-in-law know he was a genuine and kind person. When there is someone in need, he will not hesitate to help.

We were able to get our father-in-law's body back from Laos with the help of everyone who had donated money to our previous gofundme to help us bring his body back. We are very thankful for everyone who had donated.

While we were able to get his body back to America, our funds are still low and tight to cover the funeral expenses. We are asking for any kind of donations anyone can give. Any amount will be appreciated and forever remembered by our family.
