*UPDATE: This is Bryan, Rene Alvarez son on behalf of my family I just wanted to update you and thank everybody for supporting us by going out of their way and donating, It's been tough and i've been forced to take the role of a Rene in my house hold. This is huge blessing for us and we are grateful for everybody that has donated and shared. Although we don't have an exact date when he'll be sent to Guatemala but we hope to have his body rest in his hometown soon. It truly means a lot to all of us. God bless all of you.*
René Alvarez was a strong, energized, and family-oriented man. He leaves behind a long extended family of brothers, sisters, parents, and so on but most importantly he leaves behind his three wonderful children, Bryan, Ashley, and Wilmer, and a wife, Florinda Alvarez. Despite the strenuous hours he endured at his over-demanding job, he always came home with a positive and fun spirit. His house was always filled with laughs and always emitted that energy when around other people. He loved the outdoors and to spend quality time with his family. On Sundays, while others dreaded having to go to work, you could find René at a soccer field saving goals and celebrating those little moments with the ones who surrounded him with love. While his kids were at school, he spent his time working as a delivery man at a restaurant he has worked for over two decades.
Sadly, those moments came to an end on Wednesday evening September 23, 2020. During these difficult moments, though we miss his presence at home, we remember the memories we created with him. His children have been forced to learn to continue their lives without him but they know they will continue to have the overwhelming support of their family. Though we will not longer see his positive energy around, we know that his smile will always remain imprinted in our minds and in our hearts. We know these moments have not been the best for all of us, but we would greatly appreciate if you could help us out in raising money for funeral expenses as well as being able to send his body to his country, Guatemala.
In advance, we thank you for your collaboration and your support.

Gracias!
