Hi, My name is Sujey Silva Ramirez I’m the daughter of Manuel Gustavo Avila. As many of you guys already know my father passed away on December 6, 2023 due to a heart attack.
About 2 weeks ago my father had surgery from Kidney Stones. While preforming surgery my Father experienced a heart attack. His heart stopped pumping, doctors took initiative right away and resuscitated him back to life and my father’s heart started pumping again. Several days later he was authorized to go home after 4 days of surgery.
On December 4th, 2023 my father got out the shower and told my Mother that he wasn’t feeling well, my mother then took him to Selma Hospital where he was admitted into ICU, due to him being in a very bad condition. Selma Hospital then decided to transport him to Kaweah Health Emergency. Kaweah Health Emergency then examined my Father and ran some tests and found out my dad only had %22 left of life. Shortly after my dad started vomiting his own blood, doctors went ahead and transferred him 29 blood bags but unfortunately did not help. Doctors recommended my family to put my dad in a coma due to him not being able to breathe on his own. My mother took the advice of the doctors and agreed on putting my father on coma on December 4th, 2023.
On December 5th, 2023 my father’s heart rate was changing erratically, due to his body being so weak. Doctors went ahead and ran more test before they gave us an update. Doctors then reviewed his results and told us he had 8% left of life, they kept him on a ventilator overnight to see if he would get better.
On December 6th at 10:00am my father had family visitors, but unfortunately my family arrived at the same time the nurses were checking up on him. Nurses were still in my dad’s room checking on him and working more tests. Around 11:05am a nurse came out and told my mother that my father had a heart attack and they were trying to resuscitate him back to life. We waited patiently outside the lobby for an update. At 11:10am a nurse called my mother into the room and told her that my father had passed away.
As you all know my father was only 43 years of age. He had his whole life ahead of him but unfortunately god had other plans.
The Avila family is currently asking for contributions towards my father’s funeral expenses and services. Please help my family lay my Dad to rest. Any amount is appreciated, if at the moment you can’t donate please share and repost this link and help us get as many donations as possible.
