Hello, my name is Shannon & I am writing this fundraiser with my nephew David. On September 30th, my nephew Ty Hale was murdered in Eastpointe, MI., by a senseless act of gun violence. As of now, it is an ongoing investigation, and we will be making sure justice is served. Ty was 18 years young; he left behind two kids, Emery, a year old and Tyler, a three-month-old. Ty was a great son, father, brother, nephew & friend. Ty was full of life and a hard worker. Whenever you saw him, he was smiling or ready to crack a joke. Ty loved riding his mini-bike. He purchased his mini-bike to make sure that he would make it to work. This go-fund me is important to our family because no one is prepared mentally and financially to bury their child, let alone unexpectedly and tragically, the way we lost Ty. We want to ensure that our family can have a proper funeral for Ty. For the first time in years, Ty's mother had just started working two jobs, seven days a week, as she could not work due to her medical issues. We do not even know if or when my sister Tina will be able to return to work, as this unexpected death of her baby boy has turned her world upside down. Ty's father is unemployed and unable to work due to his current medical conditions. We will use these funds towards his funeral expenses, lawyer fees, and a memorial stone in honor of Ty. Lastly, we will ensure that his family is cared for while missing work. We aim to start a trust fund for the children he leaves behind.
