Funeral Expenses for Zachee

Zachee was a loving, respectful, caring and humble person. She was born in Rwanda and came to the United States in 2019. She was well-loved by her family, friends and coworkers. She lived her life bravely and authentically as herself.

Tragically, on Friday, February 3, she was killed at her place of employment. (https://www.whas11.com/article/news/local/jbs-butchertown-plant-shooting-imanitwitaho-zache-edilberto-lores-reyes/417-b407ed75-949a-4709-974a-55e7cf335868) While the circumstances of her murder are still under investigation, the family is raising money at this time to help with funeral costs and to support the family at this difficult time. We are heartbroken that her conviction to live her life as herself may have led to her death.

Zachee was a light to those around her and we are memorializing her so that her light can live on after her death.

The funds raised through this campaign will go to Zachee's mother to assist in funeral costs and living expenses for the family as they grieve the loss of their daughter, sister, and friend.

This fundraiser has been organized by Danny. Danny is Marie's nephew and is working closely with Zachee's family in this difficult time. The funds will go directly to the bank account of Marie Nyirahabimana, Zachee's mother. In addition to paying for the funeral, this will help with basic living expenses through the next few months in order to give the family time to grieve.
