Funeral expenses for Zachary Marshall.

My brother Zachary Marshall was a victim of neglect and because of that neglect he is brain dead.

On December 3rd we called the Bucyrus paramedic because my brother complained that he couldn't breath and was having trouble walking. They didn't take him to the hospital. They took him to jail on a misdemeanor warrant in mansfield. They neglected to care for him medically by not taking him to the hospital when we specifically called an ambulance. Then, once in jail they neglected his care even more and now we are left here to decide how we want to end his life.

My brothers health was neglected in jail. My uncle Jesse made a great point in saying

If it happened to him, it can happen to your child.

Their lives are in the hands of the policemen who run the jails. The policemen are responsible for keeping them safe and healthy while our loved ones are under their care. We have no power to intervene if these civil “Servants” become indifferent to their needs and safety.

Without enforcing police accountability, there is no guarantee of justice.

My nephew was murdered.

Write your senators and representatives. Demand police and incarceration reform.

Your child’s or sibling’s life could be in the hands of the police so very easily. You will not be able to protect them.

We thought Zach would be safe from harm and he was neglected while in custody and left for 3 days suffer and die.

My brother unfortunately did not have life insurance. We have to come up with the money to put him to rest on our own and so close to Christmas.
