Final Arrangements for Yonaih Herrera

It is with a heavy heart and extreme sadness that I write this. My name is Ashley my stepbrother Yonaih Herrera passed away in a car accident last night. He was driving during last night's terrible storm and lost control of the car and hit a tree. He and his girlfriend both passed away, his girlfriend’s son (5 months old) which was also in the vehicle luckily survived.

I am still in shock and disbelief with the news and trying to come to grips with how our family will not be able to spend time with Yonaih or enjoy future holidays together again. I always thought we had so much time to live and would grow old together and laugh at all the dumb things we did. There was never a boring moment when Yonaih would come over and our family would get together, I thought he’d be around forever. Yonaih was only 23 years old, our little sister will not have the same opportunity I had to get to know him, as she is only 3 years old but I will make sure to always show her pictures of him and tell her just how much her big brother loved her and was obsessed with her. What saddens me even more, being a mother my self is that his son Yonaih Jr. will not have his dad in his life.

This is very difficult for my family both emotionally and financially and we usually do not request help from anyone and choosing to make this request has not been easy. However, due to his sudden passing, my parents are not prepared to financially cover the funeral arrangements and would appreciate your donations to ensure a proper viewing and burial for Yonaih.
