Donation protected
Yemane Berhan Gebremicael was a fierce man who separated from us by death. He died on November 14, 2020 at the University of Washington Hospital. We mourn the loss of Yemane by celebrating the life and legacy he leaves behind, the love he has for his community, for children stands out. He spent the last 20 years serving the East Africa Community in Seattle, and King County through Horn Of Africa. He dedicated his life to advocate for children to create a better future for all children. He was one of the pioneer East African descendants who lived in Seattle, where he continuously committed his life to stand for his community.
For Yemane, advocating for the community and paving the path to a bright future for children was his most priority. He advocated for the East African Community and people of color in Seattle and King County. He was known as a fighter among community, religious, and governmental organizations in our area. He was one of the East African icons in fighting economic, and health disparities the immigrants and people of color are facing today. He served our community until his last breath.
Yemane gave so much to the East African community over the past 20 years. We want to show our appreciation to him and to show gratitude to him through financial resources. Therefore, we brought this fundraising opportunity for you so that we all can share Yemane’s family burden during this hard time. 100% of raised money will help the family to cover the funeral expenses. Therefore, we plea all to generously participate in this fundraiser.
