It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that we have to share the unexpected passing of my cousin Vladimir Voznay on Saturday, June 24th, 2023 at an early age of 53.
Vlad was diagnosed with End-stage renal failure and has been battling the disease for over 10 years. It is unbelievable how much courage, physical/mental strength he had during the time that he was battling the disease. Last year he was in a horrific car accident that only by the grace of God he was able to survive with many broken bones in his back, legs, sacrum and even lost a toe in the accident. He spent over a month in the hospital begin put back together as much as possible and all of this took a tool on his health. As time progressed it was getting harder to walk and blood clots developed in his legs, he ended up being in and out of the hospital. Because his clots were so bad his blood pressure dropped to such a low (50/38 with help of meds) number that they were not able to do dialysis. Due to permanent kidney failure he could not go without dialysis. Without treatment the kidneys cannot not properly filter waste and extra water from the blood, creating a build-up within the body, which is terminal when left untreated. His health started to decline and we were told that the doctors have done all they can do and his organs were shutting down very rapidly. We has admitted to the hospital Monday June 19th and on June 24th at 1:30 pm in the presence of his loved ones he gained his wings. His journey here on earth was cut short at a young age of 53.
Over 10 year ago he lost his dad to cancer and just 2.5 years ago he lost his mother to cancer as well. With all of the emotional pain and stress that death brings, it also bring financial burdens. We would like to raise money to help with Vlad’s funeral expenses. It is in times of sadness and loss when people can come together to help one another make it through. Any support you may be able to provide would be greatly appreciated.
He will be so deeply missed, and the memory of him will live on forever. Please keep the family in your thoughts and prayers during this devastating time. Thank you in advance for your loving kindness.
