Funeral Expenses for the beloved Raul Valencia

On November 30th 2023, the Valencia family experienced a horrible tragedy with the unexpected passing of Raul Valencia. We would like to come together and help the family with funeral expenses.

Raul was born in Zamora, Ecuador on December 14th 1974, he was 48 years old. He grew up in Ecuador before coming and settling down in Middletown, CT.

Raul Valencia leaves behind his two parents, Raul Valencia and Silvia Morales. Also leaving behind his brother and two sisters. They all reside in Ecuador.

Raul also leaves behind his beloved wife, Mercy and six children; David (25), Marco (25), Darcy (24), Derek (20), Dalenka (9), Darelis (1) and grandchild, Mariana (3). He will be remembered as a hard worker who always put others before him and knew how to make anyone laugh. Raul worked for the Wesleyan University under the company Bon Appetit for over 10 years in Middletown, CT.

All money raised will go directly to the family for funeral expenses, which will allow the family to mourn the loss of their husband, father and son without financial worries.

The wake will be on Thursday December 7th 4-7pm, at Lastrina Family Funeral Home, 491 High street Middletown, CT.

There will be a Church Service for on Friday December 8th at 10am at St Francis of Assisi Church, 10 Elm St, Middletown, CT 06457.

After the church service, the burial will be at Indian Hill Cemetery, 383 Washington Street P.O. Box 176 Middletown, CT 06457.

*If people would like to join the Valencia family in driving over to the church please meet at the Funeral home at 8:30am on Friday morning. After the church service, you can also join in on the drive over to the burial site.
