My name is Katherine Rice, and this GoFundMe is for our family to pool money for my sister-in-law's funeral expenses. Others who wish to donate may use this account also. Any funds over and above what's necessary for her arrangements will be given to her son, Elijah, a high school senior who is headed to the Marine Corps this summer.

Stephanie passed away on April 4, 2024, succumbing to injuries sustained when she was struck by a car as a pedestrian. Stephanie was an organ donor, and her generosity lives on in those who received her gifts. Stephanie is survived by her children Brianna and Elijah Rice, granddaughter Stella, her brother Jeff Rice, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father Charles Ray Rice, mother Sharon Rice, brother Charles Edward "PeeWee" Rice, and her son Joe.
