Our beloved grandmother, Shirley David Osuna, suffered a horrific hemorrhagic stroke and passed away in the ICU.
This tragedy was completely unexpected, and our family is absolutely heartbroken. There are no words to describe the pain we feel. We are devastated, in shock, and struggling to grasp how quickly everything changed. One moment she was smiling and full of life—and now we’re saying goodbye.
Shirley is 84 years old and has always been the heart and soul of our family. A single mother who raised her children with strength and unconditional love, she carried both parental roles with grace and gave everything she had to her kids and grandkids. She was our foundation, our safe space, and our biggest supporter.
She greeted everyone with a smile, no matter how tired she was. Even on her hardest days, she would light up with joy when her grandkids came to visit—always excited to cook for us, laugh with us, and make us feel deeply loved. She reminded each one of us how much we meant to her every single night. Her love was constant and overflowing.
She adored animals and made friends everywhere she went. Her presence lit up every room, and her heart was full of kindness and compassion. Losing her feels impossible. We don’t know how we’ll ever recover from losing someone as precious as she is. Life without her is something we’re not ready for.
We’re holding onto each other as we navigate this heartbreak and begin to prepare for the next steps. If you feel moved to support us—whether through kind words, prayers, or a contribution—it would mean the world to our family. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for standing with us during this incredibly difficult time.
With love and deep gratitude,
The Osuna Family
