My mother Sharlene Travis recently passed away due to covid complications.Those of you who knew her know that she was a sweet, kind, loving, extremely loyal person. She spent her entire life helping disenfranchised children as a public school teacher here in Toledo. Her health has been failing and she had to stop teaching and lost her health insurance and ability to pay her life insurance. My father has had 2 strokes and is fighting to stay alive from covid as well. He can't mentally wrap his mind around my mother's death and has no way of handling this sudden financial burden and told me he won'tbe having a funeral for my mother. The funeral director said that to give her a funeral with a short viewing of the body and cremation after the service it will be at least $3500 at base price with costs climbing up towards $5000 if there were any extra expenses. Someone who helped so many young lives deserves to at least be honored in death. Please help me raise the money to lay her to rest properly. Anything would help no matter how small. The funeral director says I have until February 12 to raise the funds (the day her funeral will be if I can raise the money). If I can't they will dispose of her body like trash with her family and friends never getting to pay their respects. Please help if you can. We would be eternally grateful.
