Funeral Expenses for Scotia Cruz
Donation protected
Scotia's long battle with terminal metastatic breast cancer ended the morning of December 12th. After undergoing a double mastectomy, chemotherapy, radiation, and 1-year remission, her cancer returned and spread through her lymph nodes, bones, liver, and pelvis. She was placed in hospice a couple of weeks before passing, where she spent precious time with her five children and husband.
Scotia's life insurance policy recently expired, leaving the family in a difficult financial position. In place of flowers, the family would appreciate any donations.
Here is a message from Scotia's son, Arnold:
"Praise the Lord! We would like to extend a warm thank you and big appreciation towards everything that you've done to help us. Through this time we have received gifts, kind words, flowers, and most importantly your beautiful prayers.
"Pray without ceasing. In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you." 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18.
We are reaching out to humbly ask for financial assistance in regard to funeral costs. We are asking that you pray to the Lord and give based upon how he moves you to do so. Regardless if you give or not, we want to say THANK YOU for each and every prayer that has gone up unto the Lord for our mother. Thank you and God bless you!"
