Our amazing friend Sara Wilson and her entire family have experienced extreme tragedy already in 2022. On January 4th her mother passed unexpectedly in her sleep of a massive heart attack. Having been on disability and only age 66, she left her family with many beautiful pieces of artwork and even more beautiful memories.

 

At the same time that she and her brother, JD Wilson were being informed of her mother’s passing, they received a text from her stepmother, Teresa Wilson alerting them to the fact that her father was being rushed to the hospital in Flint, Michigan. The heart monitoring vest he was wearing alerted that only Half of his heart was working. While the team at McLaren tried to stabilize him within 24 hours they moved him to Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit where he remains medically sedated and awaiting a heart transplant.

 

We are hoping to help her family out with the base expense of her mother’s funeral as a primary fundraising goal so that she can be buried according to her wishes in the spring.

 

That goal is $7,000.

 

Any additional funds raised will be to help offset the cost of hotel stays and travel while the family has visited her father, as well as lost wages for bills while they have been trying to unexpectedly settle their mother’s affairs, as well as care for her father.
