Funeral Expenses for Rafael Reyes Davila

Donation protected
On January 19, 2021, our beloved Rafael Reyez Davila, known by many as Faye, departed this world for his eternal home after a courageous battle with the coronavirus. Rafael was more than an exceptional man. To put it in our own words, he will always be the very best man we'll ever know.

He served the Ohio Commission on Spanish Speaking Affairs, Worldwide Intercultural Network, advisory board of the Cleveland Orchestra, as well as many other civic organizations.

He was a father, an Abuelo, and a friend to many; he always offered his honest advice without expecting anything in return. He touched the lives of so many during his life on earth and will be missed for many generations to come.

Everyone who knew him would say that they've had Faye’s knowledge, lectures, and words of wisdom bestowed upon them time and time again.  He would generously give his last dollar to make certain that you had food to eat and a roof over your head.

He would always remind people to have "Peace and Love".

His heart for those he cared about was always so full of genuine concern that we often wonder how he could fit all that love into his Mighty Mouse chest. Raphael Reyes Davila completely dedicated his life to his sons, his Neito, and his Neita.

Rafael and his sons would use the phrase "The House of the Rising Sons" to describe their inseparable relationship.

In addition to spending countless hours of quality time with his family, he dedicated his time to improving the Hispanic community in America and always thought creatively outside the box. The love he had for others was well recognized with awards from the many organizations he was a part of.

Our family cannot describe the impact Rafael had on us, our family friends, and local businesses.

Although Faye didn't attend college he husteled his way way to becoming the Vice President of Marshalk Advertising Agency from about 1974 to 1985. He was proud to serve the largest advertising agency in the midwest and would always share the story of working his way to the top. During his interview, he said, "I went to Harvard. Four years of Harvard and East 93rd Street".

He often said that he was so incredibly lucky and proud to be our father and Abuelo. Well, Dad, we are so lucky and so proud to have been blessed with the time we had with you. We are completely devastated by the loss of Rafael Reyes Davila and have been caught off guard by burial expenses. In lieu of flowers, please make any contribution you can to help up make sure our dad, our Abuelo, has the proper resting place he deserves to honor his memory and say our final farewells.

"Every morning, in my morning prayer, I say dear Lord allow me to remember to love all of your children, the way that I love my own, to be kind to them, be forgiving,  be trusting, generous, understanding, but most of all to love them."
