Funeral Expenses for Patty West

Patty Jean West was a veteran, she served in Germany and spent most of her life caring for others after her time in the Army. But, she was more than just a capable nurse and friend. She was a strong and loving single mother to one of my best friends, Christopher Hooper. She completed her college education and served her country all while caring for a growing young man. Her tenacity and spirit were tightly packed into her 5'5" frame and fiery red hair. I will always admire her loving devotion to her son and her enduring strength through trying circumstances in her life.  
She leaves behind my friend that was an only child and with no other family to help pay for expenses, we are asking that donations be made to help Chris pay for her final expenses. The funeral home will not proceed unless they have at least half of the cost, and we don't want to wait much longer before proceeding.
