Funeral expenses for Pa Xiong

Don protégé
I believe anyone that has ever met my mom can vouch for the fact that she was always smiling. No matter how much pain she was in, no matter how tired she was feeling, no matter what she was going through, she always continued to smile and say that she was okay.

My mom was a fighter that had been fighting for the past 9 years ever since she had her stroke in 2011 up until now. She lost mobility on her whole right side of her body, but she never allowed that to stop her from recovering. She pushed herself to exercise everyday, which helped her regain some sense of mobility on her right side again after a year of constant therapy.

With one hand and some mobility on her right hand, she was able to do some basic household chores such as cooking and cleaning once again. She cooked for us day after day, she cleaned the house to make sure it’s tidy, and she did the laundry to make sure it’s clean. She continuously did her role as a mother in every possible way she could until last year in October 2019, when she went into the hospital due to an ulcer in her stomach. She had to undergo 4 surgeries within her stay of a month & a half at the hospital resulting in her loss of mobility once again. Despite her body being in extreme pain, she recovered quickly and amazed all of the doctors and nurses with going home early and having her surgery wound close up in a quick matter of time.

Although this year was crazy due to COVID-19, she was doing so well and continued to surprise all of us once again with her strength. She slowly started moving around with support from her walker in March 2020. She would wake up and do her daily routine such as wash herself up, apply her sunscreen, turn on the TV to watch her favorite show, do a little exercise and then eat a plate of oatmeal. She was acting so strong and brave but her body was slowly deteriorating without any of us knowing. She started eating less, became weak, was extremely tired, & completely lost all of her mobility as of last month in November 2020. However, she still pushed herself every day to wake up and do her morning routine as best as she could up until her very last breath. This morning, December 12, 2020 at 7am my lovely mother passed away due to her low hemoglobin  causing her heart to stop functioning because she did not have enough blood in her body.

My strong and loving mother who has & will always continue to be my best friend & teacher will forever be remembered as a survivor, fighter, & warrior.
