Funeral expenses for our Nana Angela "Lita" Payan
Donation protected
Our beloved Nana, Angela “Lita” Payan, was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in 2018. It's been one week since our Nana Lita lost her courageous battle against cancer. It is with a heavy heart that I must now humble myself and ask, if you may please assist my family by contributing any amount possible towards her funeral expenses.
After first being diagnosed with ovarian cancer in 2018 and multiple surgeries, a blood transfusion and numerous rounds of chemotherapy after, her doctor informed us that she was now cancer-free and in remission!
Unfortunately, the ovarian cancer came back in 2020 more aggressively. By the time the cancer had been detected, it was already at stage 4. This time around, our Nana Lita decided she no longer wished to continue with chemotherapy. She believed strongly in her heart, that if it was her time to go, then, it WAS time for her to go. She then, spent several weeks in hospice care surrounded by her loved ones, before she took her last earthly breath on January 21, 2021 at 5:42 a.m.
One of her favorite bible verses was, Psalm 23:4, "Although, I walk through the valley of shadow of death I will fear no evil, for you are with me, your rod and staff they comfort me..." and as I re-read this bible verse over and over again, it reminds me of how truly amazing AND inspiring our Nana Lita was. She was faced with a such a hard battle, also known as cancer and through it ALL, her faith NEVER waived. At the end, she was at peace with the Lord and I believe she couldn't have been more ready to spend eternal life with Him.
Although, I will miss the warmth of her lips kissing my forehead, her bright smile that would light up any room she entered, her advice whether we liked it or not, that loud laugh you could hear for miles, that was so contagious - I am at peace knowing she is no longer suffering, nor in pain and that is what helps comfort me.
Myself and my family cannot thank you enough for any donations received.
Love,
