Funeral expenses for our beloved Phoenix Moore

Phoenix Moore, 23, of Collinsville, IL, passed away on Friday, September 9, 2022, at Anderson Hospital, in Maryville, IL. He was born June 2, 1999, to Todd and Yolanda Moore, at St. Mary's Hospital in Centralia, IL. He lived in Collinsville most of his life, was a graduate of Collinsville High School, and attended Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. Phoenix loved his friends and his family more than anything, he was a treasured son, brother, uncle, and friend. He was a little shy until you got to know him, then once you did you would see the infectious smile and goofy sense of humor shine through. Phoenix enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and his cat, Luna. In his free time, he liked to go on walks around Collinsville, play video games at a competitive level, and spend time with his niece and nephew. Phoenix was a smart, kind, and caring soul who will be missed by all who knew him.

We are all devastated by Phoenix’s loss and were not prepared for the high cost of a funeral service. We want to give Phoenix the memorial he deserves, honor his memory, and say our last goodbyes.

I am currently asking for donations to help cover the cost of Phoenix's funeral. We need to raise $16,000 as soon as we can in order to be able to afford the funeral service, burial, headstone, and all other fees. We will initially be trying to take a loan out to cover the costs upfront and this would greatly help us pay that back.

Any excess funds (if any) we would love to pay it forward to another family that is going through a similar situation as us.
