In Loving Memory of our Beloved Dajahvette Richee

Donation protected
Mother’s Day 2023 and trips to two different hospitals left family and friends grappling with the untimely passing of their beautiful, Dajahvette Richee. Dajahvette, affectionately called “Dajah” went to the nearest hospital because of excruciating pain in her stomach. The initial emergency room staff literally turned the lights off on Dajah, called security and refused to provide her treatment because she had questions about the medication given to her. She tried explaining to them she had gallbladder issues and was in unbearable pain. They told her to leave. But, with the support of a loved one, she made it to the next closest hospital which was an hour and a half away. Upon getting her checked in, she collapsed and stopped breathing for 10 entire minutes. The second hospital stepped in and did what they could to help her, but they could not save her life. One by one her organs began to fail, and at 32 years of age, she was completely brain-dead.

Dajah’s absence has created a void in the lives of everyone she met but none greater than her precious eight-year-old son, Aiden is who now faced with navigating life without his mother. He was her only child. He said, “She was a good mommy.” Dajah and Aiden were inseparable. Now, her child, family and friends seek peace in memories she left behind.

While the loss of Dajah cannot be measured, we have the opportunity to honor her memory and support her bereaved family during this unimaginably difficult time. The emotional and financial strain they face is overwhelming, as they struggle with why and how this could have happened? This GoFundMe will not only serve as a resource to help the family with financial burdens but will also serve as a ray of hope; reminding them that they are not alone in this journey as they try to find their footing so they may respectfully lay her to rest.

Please consider making a donation, no matter how small, or share this page to honor Dajah’s memory. No matter how you choose to honor her, we thank you in advance for your kindness, compassion and support. Our goal is to give Dajah the memorial she deserves, to honor her memory and say our last goodbyes. I am raising funds on behalf of her father, Larry Richee. Donations will be used to bring her remains home, the funeral service and any residual medical expenses.
