Hello, We are here to ask for your help for my family in this time of NEED. My sister Nikki Hunter has left this world and we are beyond devastated. She leaves behind 3 children . Her oldest Bailey 18, Ashlynn 13 and Niko 1. She was a loving mother a beloved daughter and the BEST sister. She had so many friends from childhood to the ones she met in her recovery through the lighthouse. She had the best sense of humor and she always knew how to make you laugh. Nikki always put her problems to the side to help the next person. She was always laughing and being goofy. She was TRULY one of a kind! We will FOREVER miss her, and don't completely understand at this time why Nikki felt like taking her life that was so NOT READY to end ,had come to a end... Mental awareness is REAL. Nikki would want us all to celebrate her life and remember her for the loving selfless caring person she was.
-Staying positive doesn't mean you have to be happy all the time. it means that even on hard days you know that there are better days to come.
-Suicide isn't easy to talk about, widespread sigma creates fear and inhibits people from speaking out, we need to normalize safe conversations and understand a person who attempts or commits suicide felt in the moment they could not reach out for help.
If you or anyone you know is thinking about suicide please get them help!
Asking for help ISNT a weakness.
