Hi guys, I'm sure that by now, all of you are aware that on Tuesday, July 12th, my Uncle Randall Howard Gene passed away at his home in Desert Hot Springs, California.
In thinking of my Uncle, for as far back as I can remember, the first things that come to mind were his love of his hot off the press, freshly ironed, creased to the max Blue Jeans, his fancy shoes, socks and sandals...yes he loved his socks and sandals, and last but definitely not least his love for music. I can remember when I was about eight or nine years old, and my family would travel to visit my grandma. We would walk in the house and all that you would see was all of my Uncles vinyl records; he had creates upon creates of them, there must have been hundreds of records, but the only record that will forever stand out to me and always make me smile from ear to ear was the one that welcomed you in with the cowbell, followed by the drums...Low Rider by WAR, "all my friends know the Low Rider, the Low Rider is a little higher." Yeap, I guess that will be our forever song, and I'm so grateful that I will always have those memories of my Uncle.
My Uncle Randall leaves behind his children, grandchildren, sisters, brother and many family members and beloved friends. Our hearts are heavy, and we will miss him dearly.
I am setting up a memorial fund to help my family to bear the funeral and the financial burden due to my Uncle's untimely loss. I cannot express the love and gratitude that I feel for each and everyone one of you that find it in your good graces to bless our family in our time of need.
God bless and thank you so very much
