Funeral Expenses for my Dad, Hunter Talley

As a child, you believe your parents are super heroes and invincible.… So it’s hard to accept when the reality you’re faced with is that they’re not! No matter how old you are. For those that have followed my dad’s story and prayed for him, you know this has been a journey. I am physically, emotionally and mentally exhausted. But I would do it all again to ensure my dad received the care he deserved and had someone holding his hand every step of the way until the end. My heart is in a million pieces and I I was not ready to say goodbye. I miss him more than words can even begin to describe.

On Monday, January 22, 2024 my dad was moved to inpatient hospice at The Crossing at Clarity Hospice in Baton Rouge, LA. He passed away later that night with me right beside him holding his hand and my mom on speaker phone reading scriptures and praying, while christian music played in the background in his room.

In faith and desperation to ensure my dad has the funeral he deserves, I created this GoFundMe to try to help with the burial and funeral expenses. I don’t know what else to do at this point. I created this GoFundMe initially to start to prepare for the process, not knowing how soon it would start. My heart is shattered and I miss my daddy so much already. I'd give anything to have him here with me again, but I know he has been healed and is in Heaven. The funeral home has been amazing and is working with me. So it is not going to cost me nearly as much as first thought, but still more than I have. So please consider helping if you can to make up the difference!
