After having battled with persistent health issues for many years, Mr. Rafael Fernandez sadly passed away early Monday morning on November 2, 2020. He is survived by his wife, Norma, his five children Rafael, Vanessa, Kamila, Paola, Karla, and his three grandchildren. He was a faithful, patriotic, fun-loving, jokester who lived wholeheartedly for his family.
Everyone who had the privilege of knowing any of his amazing children got a glimpse of the spectacular, special kind of man and father he was. He was the embodiment of hard work, love for family, and always gave all he had for his children. Known by his family as "El Caballo," he un-relentlessly fought his declining health to stay at his family's side. He had to progressively dedicate more and more time to his medical care and it had been especially difficult for him to balance his work and his health during the pandemic.
He was the rock of the Fernandez family and, although he battled chronic heart and kidney disease for many years, his sudden passing was unanticipated and the Fernandez family needs our help. So many of us have benefited from friendships and fun memories with members of the Fernandez family. Now, as a community, we have an opportunity to help a grieving family when they're most in need by laying their father to rest. Please consider donating any amount, so that this beautiful family can give their father the service he deserves.
Mr. Fernandez, we know that you are no longer suffering and you are at peace. We pray you give your family the strength they need to get through these next trying months, and we ask for the grace to recognize your presence in our daily lives. Not a goodbye, but a see you later. Until we meet again.
