On Monday, September 7, Montgomery Williams, 17, left the loving arms of his earthly family and walked into the warm embrace of his heavenly Father.
Just 3 days before, Montgomery had been helping the family prepare for a much anticipated family reunion to be held that same weekend. However, when his father, Daniel, came home on that Friday, he found Montgomery unresponsive on his bed from an apparent seizure. He was rushed to the hospital in San Angelo and later airlifted to San Antonio where he never regained consciousness.
He passed away with his family at his bedside. Monty was a sweet and thoughtful boy who began having seizures a few years before. Despite the best efforts of the doctors here and in San Antonio, they could never find the cause. His family and many friends were praying for a miracle for Montgomery but instead Montgomery gave miracles to others. Because his organs were donated, several people now have hope and a chance for a full life.
I wanted to start this GoFundMe page to help the family to recover from this tragedy. Montgomery's father, Daniel Williams, is a San Angelo police officer who works long hours and double shifts to keep his community safe. For 21 years, he has never failed to volunteer with the Honor Guard at the funerals of his fellow officers. He is respected by others because he treats everyone he meets with kindness and respect.
In addition to his father, Daniel, Montgomery is survived by his stepmother, Candice Williams, his mother Tracy Williams, and siblings Victoria and Lance.
Bless you if you feel you can donate to this cause.
