Funeral Expenses for Michael James Manowski

On Monday, July 27th, we lost a truly remarkable Grandfather, Father, Brother, and Son to a brief battle with infection that resulted in multi-organ failure. He was only 50 years old. The loss is so unreal and completely unexpected. Michael was such an amazing person. He had such a giving heart. He always helped his mother Carol and four older siblings with anything they needed. From simple runs to the store to fixing anything that was broken. Michael lived for his two children, Amber and John, and was so incredibly proud of them. His biggest pride and joy in life was his only grandson, Mason, age 2, whom he called his “Little Buddy”. Michael will be Greatly missed by all who knew him. He was such a genuine person who made friends with everyone he met, wherever he went, and helped anyone in need without hesitation.
Unfortunately, Michael did not have any life insurance or savings in his account to help with final expenses. Bringing Michael home to Kingsford, Michigan from Milwaukee, Wisconsin was a large and unexpected expense that has fallen onto his Daughter’s shoulders. Out-of-state transfer of remains, legal paperwork, and cremation paperwork fees costed more then we even imagined.
Please keep our family in your prayers during this extremely difficult time, especially his mother Carol and his two children, Amber and John. Losing a Son and Father so young has been completely devastating.
The money raised will go towards cremation and funeral expenses.
There will be a Memorial Mass held on Saturday, August 8th, 2020 at 1 p.m. at the Saint Mary Catholic Church, located on Main Street in Norway, MI, with a Celebration of Life Commemorative Gathering for Michael to follow at the Marion Park Pavilion in Norway, MI. All are welcome to attend and share in fond memories and stories of Michael’s life. (Immediately following the memorial Mass until 6 p.m.)
