This fundraiser is being created for my aunt, Maria Del Carmen Zapien. Maria was involved in a tragic accident when a trailer flipped entering California due to high winds. She fought bravely for two weeks in the hospital, but sadly there was nothing more the doctors could do. Maria was a friendly, hardworking person who made friends everywhere she went. She was a loving parent and always helped anyone around her. Her loss is deeply felt by her family and everyone who knew her.

Maria leaves behind her husband and four children, who are now facing the difficult task of saying goodbye and honoring her memory. The funds raised will help transport Maria back to Mexico, where her family can lay her to rest, and will also cover funeral expenses. This support will ease the financial burden on her loved ones during an incredibly challenging time.
