Funeral Expenses For Maria C. Chavez

On behave Maria Chavez family we are currently asking for donations to help cover the cost of Maria Chavez‘s funeral expenses and her travel back to her beloved Mexico. We would like to honor her memory and give Maria the memorial she deserves. Yesenia Morales is Maria’s best friend or like they would say more like sisters and she will be giving the funds raised from this campaign to Maria’s parents.

Maria is many things: a daughter, a sister, an aunt, a friend but most importantly she was a loving and caring young soul. Maria is the youngest of her siblings, a first generation college graduate from California State University, Chico where she earned a Bachelors in Child Development. Maria was born in Silacayoapan, Oaxaca, Mexico and raised in Santa Maria, California. Upon graduating high school, she moved to Chico, California to continue her education, once completed she returned home to pursue a career in her field of study, which she had worked so hard for. She loved spending time with her family and friends and was always looking to make new memories with them.

In late 2019 Maria was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer, news that devastated her friends and family. That loving and caring soul never left, her smile remained throughout her fight. Although cancer was limiting her, she never lost hope. After a long battle on October 18, 2020 Maria passed away while being surrounded by her loved one’s.

Actualmente por parte de su familia estamos solicitando donaciones para ayudar a cubrir los gastos del funeral de María Chávez, y su viaje de regreso a su amado México. Nos gustaría honrar su memoria y darle a María el homenaje que se merece.

María es muchas cosas: una hija, una hermana, una tía, una amiga, pero lo más importante es una alma joven cariñosa y amorosa. María es la menor de sus hermanos/as, se graduó de la Universidad Estatal de California, Chico, donde obtuvo una licenciatura en Desarrollo Infantil. María nació en Silacayoapan, Oaxaca, México y se crió en Santa María, California. Al graduarse de la escuela secundaria, se mudó a Chico, California para continuar su educación; una vez completada regresó a casa para seguir una carrera en el campo de estudio, por el que había trabajado tan duro. Le encantaba pasar tiempo con su familia y amigos y siempre buscaba crear nuevos recuerdos con ellos.

A finales de 2019, María fue diagnosticada con cáncer en etapa 4, noticia que devastó a sus amigos y familiares. Esa alma amorosa y cariñosa nunca se fue, su sonrisa permaneció durante su batalla. Aunque el cáncer la estaba limitando, ella nunca perdió su fe . Después de una larga batalla, el 18 de Octubre de 2020 María falleció rodeada de sus seres queridos.
