Funeral Expenses for Maria A Cuevas

On the early morning of April 15, 2023, a group of Frankfort residents was traveling to Jalisco, Mexico. An unfortunate and fiery crash would keep them from making their destination. 8 people perished in the accident. This group of people included my aunt, Maria Antonia Cuevas. Many people lovingly knew her as Toña. Maria was a strong and loving mother, daughter, aunt, and mentor to many in her community. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church where she spent her Sundays teaching catechism and singing in the choir. She was a jokester, always making others around her laugh. Everyone who knew her loved her. She was the most selfless person with the biggest heart. She always put others before herself and always welcomed everyone into her home. She was taken from us too soon. Any donation is greatly appreciated during this hard time. All funds will go to transferring the remains from Mexico to Brownsville, Texas where her mother resides. The rest of the funds will go directly to her family who will pay for funeral expenses and associated costs. Maria had great faith in God, and we are certain that she is an angel in Heaven smiling down upon us.
