My name is Consuelo Hernandez and I would like to ask your help with raising money for funeral expenses for my father who passed away unexpectedly this past Friday. His death has left us all devastated and unprepared to face the exorbitant costs of a funeral. He was the backbone of our family income, always tirelessly working to provide for us and our future. Unfortunately, his bout of Covid 19 last year left him unable to work for several months forcing us to shut down his beloved remodeling projects and any savings were quickly drained by the cost of medical expenses and six months of unemployment during a pandemic. In May of this year, he and my mother opened a small restaurant in which they invested all they had left and now we are faced with his unexpected departure, an inordinate amount of funeral expenses, and a business that cannot function without him leading it.

Manuel was an incredibly hardworking man. A man of principles and ethics that always sacrificed everything for his family. Therefore, we want to give him the farewell that he deserves. Please help us achieve this by donating anything you can so we can make it happen. It's incredibly difficult to ask this of our friends since we understand that most of us are struggling to survive the effects of this pandemic but if you can spare anything to help my family, I will be eternally grateful.
