Story
Linda had a four-year battle with metastatic inflammatory breast cancer, which is the most aggressive form. She fought courageously and her faith in the Lord, perseverance and love for life helped her to outlive the 18 – 24 month life expectancy. Unfortunately, on June 14th, Linda peacefully passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was 59 years young, and a life-long resident of Pawtucket, Rhode Island.
She was born on September 20, 1960 to her father, the late Edward Fisher and to her mother, Mary Angel Fisher. Besides her loving mother, she is survived by her devoted husband Skot DeCosta, her three beautiful children, Stephanie, Derek, and Felicia, her brothers Alan, Mark, Paris, her sister Jill, son-in-law Henry, daughter-in-law Kimberly, six beautiful grandchildren, uncles, nieces, nephews and many cousins.
Linda is immensely loved by her family and so many friends. She was known to be a kind-hearted, “beautiful soul,” described by all who met her. She deeply loved the Lord Jesus Christ, her mother, family, and friends. She enjoyed a diverse genre of music, including; country, oldies, soul, hip-hop and Christian. She loved ice skating, drawing, decorating and designing country crafts, especially for each changing season and holiday. Although Thanksgiving and Christmas were her favorite. Linda also loved shopping at country shops, where a lot of her inspirations came from. She had the privilege of working at one of her favorite stores, Personal Touch Country Gift Shoppe. Another love she had was for football and her favorite team, the New England Patriots. She always loved watching the games, especially the super bowls with her close family and friends. She will be missed with her fun-loving competitive spirit within our family games; such as corn hole, darts, bowling, cards and board games. Everyone always wanted her on their team.
All generous donations will help the family cover the burial expenses for our beloved Linda. We appreciate all of your love, prayers, support, and contributions during this time.
