Layla Hood was only 19 years old when she was diagnosed with bone cancer on New Year’s Day. It was shocking to everyone that only three weeks later she would leave this earth and join her Heavenly Father.

Layla left behind in grief her parents, Clare & Geoff, sister Annie and brother Luca as well as countless other family, friends, classmates and coworkers.

All funds raised here will go directly to the Hood family to assist with funeral and other costs associated with Layla’s passing.

As a friend and neighbour of the Hood Family, I’ve set up this fundraiser to help with the extraordinary memorial expenses that should not be a burden to any family after losing a child. I know that our community is wonderful at rallying around families in difficult times, and oftentimes that turns to generosity of time, support and also funds, hence this Go Fund Me.
