Funeral Expenses for Latoya's Father

My dear friend Latoya is an impressive woman in every sense of the word. Those of you who know Toya know that she regularly makes huge sacrifices to support others in any way she can- with kind gestures, sweet words, good deeds, and financially if that is what is needed.  She has a heart of gold and takes care of everyone around her, a trait that also extends to her entire family in North Carolina. As long as I have known her, she has spent her hard-earned money to help her family, because that's just who she is. Family is everything to her, and she does everything she can to help them when they are in need.

She has already had an incredibly trying and difficult year and yesterday, she received news of her father's unexpected death. Even as details of the circumstances surrounding his passing are being determined, Latoya needs to find a way to cover funeral expenses as her father, unfortunately, passed without insurance or provisions for a burial or service. Latoya, of course, wants to be sure that he has a proper service and that his life is memorialized appropriately.

As her friends, we want to find a way to ease this burden for her so that she can focus on memorializing and coping with this sudden change.  We are hoping to collect some additional funds to cover a portion of the burial and funeral expenses. Every little bit helps and will show our wonderful Latoya that she is not alone, and that her many good deeds have built her a village that will be here for her during this difficult time.
