Funeral Expenses for Lan Zhang

On the morning of March 27th, 2020, Lan Zhang was crossing the street when she was struck by a van. She tragically passed away on the scene of the accident at around 10:30am. She is survived by her husband Michael, her two daughters Lucy and Ivy, her brother Ning, and her mother Deying. 

She was also known by her online pen name, “New York LanLan” (“纽约蓝蓝”), as a well-respected blogger and writer among the Chinese-American community. She was an artist, wife, mother, beloved friend, and inspiration to many. 

The goal of this fundraiser is to cover expenses involved in Lan’s passing, including her funeral, burial, land plot, as well as financial assistance for the family she left behind as the primary source of income. 

Because of limitations on large gatherings due to the COVID-19 outbreak, we plan to hold a memorial for Lan after quarantine restrictions have been lifted. Details about the service will be provided at a later date through this page.
