Funeral Expenses for Lacy Leverett

Like many of you, my family and I have been in shock over the untimely passing of Lacy Leverett, the daughter of our good friend Mo Leverett. In times like these, we always feel so inadequate, not knowing what to do or say. So we offer up our prayers to God that he might bring comfort to this precious family, that his healing hand would touch them where their hearts have been broken, that he would gather them in with his loving embrace . . . so they might know the presences of his love.

And so I encourage you to continue lifting this family up, hedging them about on every side so that they would not lose heart. But as our minds begin to find some measure of focus in our grief, let us remember that there are many practical ways we might love this family through this trying time. The untimely nature of this tragic event finds the Leverett family in a financially tough spot in regards to funeral expenses . . . and so I’m asking you to consider what you might be able to do to help lift this burden from them while they are struggling emotionally with what to do next.

Our hope is in the God who redeems all things, and so expectantly we look to him to bring solace and comfort in this time of mourning. May God bless you and your family as we all celebrate the Advent of our Savior’s birth.
