Funeral for Joseph(Joey, Joe) Jones
Dear friends and family members,
I am writing to you today to let you know about the loss of Joe. He passed suddenly at the age of 67 on 27 January from a presumed heart attack. He is survived by his wife Cheryl, his mother Cosette and three siblings Karen Engal, Ricky Jones and Casey Jones.
Joe and Cheryl spent 40 years making a life together and have been a staple in the Town and Country community for their entire lives. Most of you know him as the local handyman helping do odd jobs in the area. He was always happy to help with these honest tasks from landscaping, junk removal, taking scrap metal to renovating your homes.
Joe was a man of modest means, always worked very hard and asked very little in return. Most often Joe put his wants and desires last in an effort to help others in need. To use a cliché, he would give you the shirt off of his back. He was a prideful man and never accepted any charity and I know I would be going against his wishes by requesting donations. However, he would also understand that his wife needs help carrying this burden.
Joe’s obituary is being constructed at this time and the funeral service location and date will be updated once determined.
We are absolutely devastated by Joe’s passing and are struggling to find the funds to cover the cost of the service. Based on researching expenses and quotes we’ve received, here is a breakdown of all the costs involved in a funeral service for Joe:
- Cremation Service: $1,200
- Funeral service: $1500
- Reception services: $500
We anticipate the need to pay all funeral costs by 4 February. I’ve started this fundraiser to collect donations for Joe’s funeral service.
Please consider donating if you are able to do so. We are so very grateful for every donation during this difficult time.
With love,
Troy Dilldine
