Hello friends and family!
I'm a little late on getting this set up; I never imagined this day would come so soon; it's been very hard to face and deal with every day. But I come with a heavy heart and let you know that my husband, Jose "Carlos" M. Ledesma passed away unexpectedly and peacefully on January 30, 2022, in Commerce City, Co., around 2 pm. I know there will not be a day that goes by that I will not think of him, and all the good memories I have of him, and I'm sure it will be the same for you. Carlos loved every one of you very much and felt so honored to have been a part of our family. He used to tell me he loved how accepting we are, loving we are, and most of all, how united we are as a family and how incredibly fortunate he was to be a part of that. He would always say how he looked up to Grandpa Mike for keeping us together as he did and how he enjoyed sitting with him talking about Mexico, and Grandpa's childhood at family functions, in spanish of course, so we couldn't understand haha.
Carlos was a great man, a great friend, always there when needed by friends and family without hesitation and will be missed very much! I ask that you not focus on the details of January 30th, 2022, but more on the good times you spent with him and the good memories you made with him.
At his mother's request, I've agreed to let his family take him back home to their hometown in Mexico, where he will be laid to his final rest in their family cemetery with his father. This decision has indeed been the hardest one I've ever faced, but I've decided to proceed with his mother's request and help with the process. And as you can imagine, this comes with more than average funeral costs. So I come to you, my family and friends, and ask for your help in making this possible for Carlos's Mother and help make this a little easier on her and their family as she lays her youngest son to rest back home in Mexico where his story began 33 years ago.
I thank you all in advance for your help! Carlos's family will be having a viewing here in Denver before having him transported back home to Mexico. I will have those details for you in the next few days.
