Jimson and his family are good friends of mine and are needing help. Jimson passed away the day after Christmas after he lost his battle with esophageal cancer. He was diagnosed in December of 2018 and undergone chemo. He was in remission and the cancer came back. He fought so hard until he couldn’t anymore. I remember when he and his wife came to my office to do their income tax return, he said “I have so much to give to my family and I say this because they are still very young, and they need me.” Jimson was a very generous friend, caring husband and the best father to his 2 young daughters. He enjoyed cooking for his family and friends and he always made sure that you have plenty to eat and plenty of “to go” boxes when you leave his house!

He left behind a soon-to-be 2-year-old daughter, Mary Jessica; teen-aged daughter, Juliana; and his wife, Jill. Jill is a nurse, but she had to quit working to take care of Jimson and the kids. Their family members are thousands of miles away in the Philippines. Jimson and Jill moved to Lubbock, TX three and a half years ago for work. Just imagine how hard it was to move your family to a foreign land and start from the ground up. You work so hard and save some money. You buy a car. Then you buy a house. Everything seem to be working well. Then you got sick and you had to quit working, but the bills and the mortgage payment doesn’t stop. And the worst of all is not having your family by your side during your most trying time because they are thousands of miles away. It is very unfortunate.
 
The family plans to bring his remains back to the Philippines and they need help financially. Please help this young family take his remains back to his family in the Philippines.
