Ida Rose (Bell) Jackson was instantly killed by a drunk driver in a hit and run accident on Elmore road in South Anchorage at 5:30 this morning (01/14/17).
She leaves behind 8 kids, her husband Roderick Jackson, family in-laws, her mom and 12 brothers and sisters, with many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews spread far and wide across the coast.
Ida meant a lot to many people. She had friends across the state and all over the west-coast. Dispite some of her hardships, Ida always carried a hearty laugh and a welcoming smile. She loved, deeply and was always ready to drop what she was doing to help anyone out.
She was a hard worker and never complained about anything. She will be sorely missed by many. Any amount of contributions from her friends and family will be much appreciated as we approach the days to her funeral service.
