Funeral Expenses for Hudson Armstrong
Donation protected
Hudson Armstrong passed away on May 11th, 2022. "Hud" was beloved by his family, including brothers Stuart and Don, and his community in Saratoga Springs, NY. Hud made a name for himself here as a bartender and illustrator; he'd been mixing cocktails since 1968 and illustrating for more than a half-century. You've seen his work gracing the council chambers at City Hall, at the Tin & Lint and the Hub, at Gaffney's and on Chowderfest merch and elsewhere. And in 2021, he published an art book called Booker D and the NGs—one of his many love letters to the city he came up in.
We ask that you please consider helping us celebrate the life of this well-loved artist by contributing to this fundraiser, which will help Hud's family cover his funeral expenses. All funds gathered from this campaign will go to Hud's brother, Don, as he and his family navigate their loss.
Here are a couple of articles about Hud published in the local news:

Here is a song that Don wrote for Hud, Stuart, and their mom. It's called "Snook Kill March". Click here to listen .
Don says, "Here's a medley I wrote maybe twelve years ago for my older brother Hudson Armstrong, my Mom & my younger brother, Stuart. The Snook Kill was a creek that ran behind our house at the foot of Mountain MacGregor in Wilton, NY. During spring runoff it would roar through the woods. Music In Me reflected on Hud's art and my music, how the muse expressed through him as sketches & paintings, while through me as melodies & poetry. Here's to you this day, Hud."
