Funeral Expenses for Harmony Mompean

Donation protected
Hello, I am Heather Mompean and I am Harmony's bonus Mom. We are coming to family, friends and philanthropists that have the ability to assist our family with the expenses associated with laying our Sweet Harmony to rest.

Harmony Mompean-Anderson passed away on October 31, 2021 from complications associated with Cystic Fibrosis, an incurable, genetic pulmonary lung disease. Harmony was born with CF and lived courageously with the disease alongside her older middle brother, Joshua. She endured home treatments, tuneups at UC Davis, percussion treatments at home, and eventually things progressed to a double lung transplant in 2015. At that time she amazed us with her strength and endurance to fight any fight necessary to stay by her son and husbands side. The transplant was a success and she lived well until the lungs showed signs of rejection that nearly took her life. But miracle of miracles, Harmony was able to receive a second double lung transplant - again - showing all her family and friends what it means to be "princess warrior" in the medical arena.

By 2020 their were again signs of rejection, but Harmony persevered with weekly trips to either UC Davis or Stanford for regular treatments that would "tan her blood" and help cleans her blood that was working against her. She endured bronchoscopies, IV treatments, and more... but alas, he health was generally on a downward trend.

Covid came, and she still persevered, albeit with less family and friends around her due to the risks and quarantines - as if disease stealing her health wasn't bad enough, now she was being robbed of the thing that mattered most -- family and friends.

Over the course of 2021, Harmony's health continued became more fragile. In late September, early October the ER visits became more frequent and the hospital stays more intense and scary. On October 20th her Dad took her to Stanford in the early afternoon and painfully left her at the Emergency Room entrance. That night she was intubated due to fatally high CO2 levels. She continued to communicate with family, love her Brian, and give her love via internet to her son Conner. She made sure that any communication with any of us began and ended with "I Love You." On October 31st, in the morning hours, she passed away on her terms -- she was removed from intubation and was more comfortable in the comfort of her husbands arms and with the touch of her mom's hands - both of them praying with her in their way.

God received one of his most precious angels whilst we mourn the loss of our sweet girls laugh and smile. We will meet again - and until then she is surrounded in love with her family whom prepared a party in heaven for her. We aren't certain who raced to her first, but we are pretty sure that Joshua would have jumped the crowd to hug her well and assure her that things are about to get more amazing than she could have ever dreamed. And so we pray.
