Hello all,
It is with a heavy heart that I announce my step fathers passing. Greg was an amazing husband to my mother, Denise. I'm sure most of you know he has been struggling with end stage renal failure for 5 or so years, and unfortunately he wasn't able to fight any longer.
Greg loved football; he was a coach at Fitch High School for 23 years. He was loved by every player, every colleague, and anyone surrounding the sport. He also had a love for history, and was a teacher for that at Fitch High School for 15+ years; again, being appreciated and respected by anyone who was lucky enough to know him.
Greg loved talking about his youth. He attended Central Connecticut State University, where he studied history. He was passionate about being with friends at his young age; going to phish concerts (his favorite band ever), going to the beach, or just tossing the football with his buddies.
Greg has been a staple to my family throughout the years, giving everything he had to make sure my family and I were taken care of. His sweet soul, laughter, and compassion is something we will never forget.
My mother has given her heart and soul to take care of Greg, and he has always shown her the same love back. I am raising money to alleviate the financial stress my mother and my family is going to endure to give Greg the proper burial he deserves.
Even if you are unable to donate at this time, please share with family & friends, as we will deeply appreciate the support from everyone who is able to assist in this time of need.
Rest in absolute peace Gregory Chambers.
