Hi, everyone. My name is Autumn Martin. But to Gavin Young, I was Ms. Martin.

And today, I’m coming to you as Ms. Martin.

On October 4, 2026, Gavin passed away after a courageous battle with cancer. He was only 24 years old, and he spent more of those 24 years fighting cancer than he ever got to spend without it.

Gavin deserved none of what he had to endure. Not one second of it. And yet, through all the treatments, pain, setbacks, and battles, I never heard him complain.

That was Gavin.

His passing has left a hole in the hearts of so many people who were lucky enough to know and love him, but my heart especially aches for his family. They have spent years fighting alongside him, and now they are facing the unimaginable task of saying goodbye.

I can’t take away their grief. I can’t make this loss hurt any less. But I would love for us to come together and take one burden off their shoulders.

Every dollar raised here will go directly to Gavin’s sweet mother to help with funeral expenses and anything else their family needs during this incredibly difficult time.

No amount is too small. And if you aren’t able to give, simply sharing this means more than you know.

Let’s wrap Gavin’s family in love. Let’s remind them they don’t have to carry all of this alone. Let’s show them what a community can do when one of our own is hurting.

I would give anything to be able to do one more thing for my Gavinator. So this is what I can do.
