Help bring Gage Chidester back home to Indiana
On Friday January 24, 2026 Gage Chidester was involved in a hit and run accident in West Palm Beach Florida. Gage was crossing a large intersection when he was hit once sending him through the windshield. The person didn't stop and kept driving. After the initial impact threw Gage forward onto the road where she ran him over a second time. Even after running him over the second time she still did not stop. She proceeded to drive home which was 20 plus minutes from the accident site. There were several people that were at the intersection that saw it happened and called it in. Police had to pull camera footage for that intersection to find what vehicle was involved. They tracked the vehicle down and went and talked to the driver where she then admitted to driving the vehicle that was involved in the accident. The case is still being investigated. Gage succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
Some of you may remember Gage as a young troubled kid that took the wrong path in life. If you knew him in his more recent years then you would know he made many changes in his life. His family in Indiana is so proud of him for all he put himself through and his accomplishments. He went through many trials but came out on top. He has been sober for more than a year. He put himself through college and was just getting ready to walk to get his degree to become an electrician. Not only was he proud of himself for getting his degree but he was also getting to be a first time dad. Baby Luke is due in April. He was worried about that but also proud and excited to be a daddy.
Because of the unexpected nature of his death we are asking for as much help as possible. We are wanting to have Gage cremated down in Florida then get him back home to Indiana. Any and all donations are welcome and very much appreciated. No amount is too small. Thank you in advance from Gage's Aunt Chelsea and cousin Kayce
