It is with a heavy heart that we create this gofundme on behalf of our dear friend, Cecy. Yesterday she learned of the untimely passing of her beloved aunt Evelisse Velez (Evie).
After the tragic death of her mother when Cecy was just 11 years old, Evie, with little to no resources of her own, raised and selflessly cared for Cecy. Evie was an incredibly kind, loving, grateful and genuine person. Sadly and unexpectedly, she died this past weekend, while at home and in bed.
No one should have to worry about financial matters while grieving the loss of a loved one.
Cecy and her brother will be solely responsible for the arrangements and all associated costs.
