On June 1st 2022 my mother passed away. Although she had been fighting complications brought on by Lupus combined with the grief of losing my tía Chiqui a month ago, her death was unexpected. Even though the decision to let her go was a decision I never thought we would have to make, we take some peace in knowing it was the right one as she is no longer suffering.
She loved pan con cafe, dancing, singing, watching YouTube cooking videos and keeping up with every detail of her children's day. She always had something clever and funny to say even in the darkest of days.
